SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to,
the primary point person for all ADI/ADI Health & Wellness
incoming/outgoing member, provider, employer group, or agent
calls, inquiries and verifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Professionally, respectfully and courteously handle
all in-bound and out-bound member, provider, employer group,
and agent-related calls.
- Attend mandatory training sessions to improve product
knowledge, quality of service and departmental changes
and improvements.
- Provide eligibility to network via telephone and
or by fax.
- Fulfill member requests for materials such as provider
and benefit information, including Member Handbook and ID
card requests.
- Assist members/providers quickly and professionally
regarding urgent dental care.
- Fulfill eligibility requirement, escalating verification
to supervisor for processing.
- Identify and escalate member issues needing additional
resolution to Management.
- Document undeliverable materials and process for
re-mailing.
- Additional departmental projects that may be assigned,
for example: Tooth Fairy requests and Member Outreach
calls.
- Assist in the training of new employees.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform successfully in this role an individual must
possess, at a minimum, the following skills and abilities.
- Type 30 WPM
- Be proficient in Word and Excel.
- Be self-motivated, directed and disciplined.
- Be a team player; work well with others in a team
environment.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Have the ability to represent the company in a positive
and professional manner.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one year experience in telemarketing (Inbound/Outbound)
preferably in the health care or dental insurance fields.
